Empowering Caregivers for a Stronger Start!

Training of Sanchalikas
Training of Sanchalikas

Dear Supporters,

We would like to share a quick update on a on a three-day residential training organised at Seva Mandir’s Kaya Training Centre, where 75 Sanchalikas (caregivers of children) came together to strengthen their skills in caring for young children.

The training provided a space for participants to reflect on the progress and challenges of their Balwadis (day-care centres) and share experiences from their communities. Through interactive discussions, lectures, videos, games and practical activities, they revisited key aspects of early childhood care and education.

The sessions covered child safety and sensitivity, hygiene, nutrition, age-appropriate diets, dietary diversity, Anganwadi services, and the identification and referral of malnourished children. Participants also explored the important role of parents and communities in creating a safe and nurturing environment for children.

A practical recipe demonstration using locally available food items helped participants learn how to prepare nutritious meals that can be easily adopted by families.

These trainings are an important investment in the women who work closely with children and families every day. Your support makes it possible to strengthen their knowledge and confidence, helping them provide better care and support to young children in their communities.

Thank you for standing with Seva Mandir and helping us build stronger foundations for children.

With Gratitude,

Seva Mandir Team
