We identified 30 girls age 14-17 years old from Obunga slums, who have been engaged in drugs and sex activities to find money to pay for school fees and buy food. This not only risks their lives with diseases like HIV/AIDS but also may lead to early marriages consequently a regrettable life.
If we can support these girls through education and empowerment program, we will help their future a big deal and so is to the community. Education is the only weapon we can use to defeat poverty and live a better life.
If we succeed, this will be a great impact on society in terms of economic growth, empowered women out of the girls that would give back to the society and example to other slum dwellers that there is always a way out of the bracket of poverty, and that is through education and staying positive.
