Childhood Leukemia is most common in children aged 2–5 years. The main characteristic of the disease is that the bone marrow produces abnormal white blood cells to replace normal cells in the blood and bone marrow.
Doi has been battling leukemia since he was just 3 years old.
Doctor detected leukemia when Doi was only 3 years old, Doi was undergoing chemotherapy at the hospital for almost 2 months . “It was a difficult time that my son endured the painful side effects of the treatment, I was in great distress.” his mother said that after being discharged from the hospital. She brought her child home to continue receiving treatment, taking chemotherapy pills daily to control the leukemia and prevent its recurrence.
Doi is now 6 years old and is still receiving cancer treatment as scheduled by doctors. The long-term treatment has resulted in high costs. His father is a construction worker and his mother does not work because she must take care Doi closely. The family was in dire straits and could not afford to take Doi to a distant hospital for further treatment. Traveling to the hospital required a chartered vehicle through a complex mountain pass, taking over two hours. Furthermore, there were also the relatively high costs of accommodation, food, and nutritional supplements for Doi with cancer.
Doi is a child in Child Rescue Fund Program under the care of CCF.Doi therefore receives regular treatment according to the treatment plan once a month. Doi receives daily oral chemotherapy and protein supplements for children as recommended by the doctor to help control leukemia and prevent its recurrence. This treatment giv the child a chance to overcome the difficult times of this terrible disease.
Your donationis ot only help sustainable Doi's life, but he could receive the necessary treatment also, and helps famil overcome unbearable crises and give them a chance to start new life.
