Nitchareceived treatment for infectious yellow teeth disease.
Yellow teeth infectionmade Nicha have toothache, difficultfood chewing and swallowing. Furthermore, her gums were bleeding constantly which resulted in her being unable to concentrate on her studies, this forced her to be frequently absent to school. Her mother took her to the Faculty of Dentistry, Chiang Mai University, for treatment. The doctor diagnosed her with infectious yellow teeth which made her teeth weaker and more fragile than normal. Therefore, she needed to receive treatment as soon as possible.
Due to the long journey of over 230 kilometers, both mother andNitcha had to travel down a steep mountain from Mae Hong Son Province to Sop Moei Hospital. The family was poor and the mother did not have enough money to pay for transportation. There were the costs of various equipment for dental crowns which is not covered by the National Health Security Office (Gold Card) rights made it impossible for Nitcha to access treatment of yellow teeth infection as scheduled by the doctor.
Reducing the suffering from toothache and brittleness.
To prevent the infected tooth from spreading and to relieve the pain from tooth decay.CCF had provided her expenses of travel, accommodation, and dental crown treatment costs that are not covered by the National Health Security Office. Initially, the doctor polished and placed temporary crowns on her four teeth to reduce toothache and tooth sensitivity. In the future, when her body stops growing up, the doctor recommends that the mother should bring Nitcha to have all teeth polished and placed. And the mother should take her to see a doctor to continuously monitor symptoms at the hospital quarterly.
Nitcha says “I would like to thank all who have helped me so much. Now I have less toothache and can eat more easily.”
