By Ruth Konchellah | Director of Cherish Others Organization Kenya
Ruth Konchellah, the head of Cherish Others Organization Kenya, was invited by Towson University in Baltimore to speak to university students and to the model UN Towson was hosting regarding the work of Cherish Others.
Ruth’s presentations were very well received. One of the professors has followed up to propose developing a course around these issues. The professor hopes to organize visits by Towson students to see the work of Cherish Others, and to serve as volunteers.
Ruth discussed the work of the organization, and highlighted the challenges girls face in the Transmara region of Kenya with respect to FGM, early marriage, teen pregnancy, and access to education and health.
Ruth’s program at Towson has highlighted the work of Cherish Others, and will hopefully generate additional donations for the work of the organization.
On behalf of the girls of Transmara, Ruth and Cherish Others thank all those who have donated and who continue to donate. Your support is enormously appreciated!
