This project will fund the renovation of a child-friendly school in Central Java, Indonesia. Your donation will help provide two furnished classrooms, a teacher room, a children's playground, two toilets, one pantry, a clean water supply system, and Green facilities: rainwater harvesting, vertical garden, water absorption holes, trash management, and school recycling center. The whole facility will have a sustainable impact for 30 years (or more) worth of school year (50 children per year).
ars86care Foundation help renovate Kindergarten Village in Central Java. The kindergarten lacks proper infrastructure: leaked roof, non-waterproof semi permanent walls, broken tiles, no sunlight, no playground, and no toilet nor sanitation. Meanwhile, Central Java has the highest number of toddlers in Indonesia hence the high demand for Early Childhood Education facilities. The central government's focus is currently not on kindergarten development, while local government has limited fund.
ars86care Foundation has been actively helping Central Java and Jogjakarta since 2012 and so far has established 25 child-friendly schools. Besides helping the low supply of proper kindergarten, the Foundation also helps empower the community that includes teachers, students, parents, and local authority. Our goal is to create a stronger community that will sustain the school and spread the importance of a safe early childhood education.
In our development areas (Semarang and Jogjakarta - now 25 schools) each school has benefited 50 children, 3 teachers, 100 parents, and village communities per year (and counting). The schools also benefit village children in the community as in most locations the only available playground after school hour is in these schools. The school buildings can also be utilized by the community for various indoor activities such as community meetings and gatherings.
