Dear Friend,
Greetings and thank you very much for your generous gift to our project helping child brides and their families. One of the reason for the child bride phenomenon is the difficulty of poor families in raising their children especially girls and the tendency is to give them away or marry them in order to ease their burden in raising them. In this case our goal is to improve the situation of poor farming families in order to increase their income and stability. With improved incomes they will be able to send their girls to school and hence prevent the occurence of child brides. On of our approach is to introduce high-valued crops to small farming families so that they realize improved incomes and well-being. We are starting to do this village by village and we think that this is a good strategy. Hoping for you continuing help. Thank you very much.
Very truly yours,
Michelle France
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative helping girls who might succumb to cohabitation while still very young. This happen to the poor and uneducated because there is very little opportunities for them and life is kind of difficult. They think that marriage or living with someone is the solution but the problem is that when a child is born, drudgery and economic hardships comes in. There is a need to educate young girls in the villages so that this situation is changed and that a brighter future for them may lie ahead. This reporting period we started our assistance by the provision of small livelihoods to girls and their parents comprising the raising of small animals and vegetable gardening. This is easy to do and will provide them with good reward. Hoping for your kind help so that we can expand and continue this strategy.
Very sincerely yours,
Michelle
