Secondary Education is a essential to getting finding a future in Ng'ombe Compound, where poverty and hopelessness run rampant. This past April I had the pleasure of returning to Chikumbuso for a three week visit. I was thrilled to see that the students I left two years ago are thriving. They are blossoming in school, are healthy, and lead in their community.
The following is a letter I received from one of our high school students. She is a student that you are providing for through your giving here at Global Giving.
Ng'ombe CompoundLusakaDear Mama Linda,I am writing this letter to thank you fo the good work and effort you are giving to Chikumbuso. Before I go any further I would like to pass my greetings to you and say thank you for visiting us, your children, once again this year.On behalf of my fellow pupils who are also members of Chikumbuso I would like to say thank you mama for it is by your commitment that we are able to be in school. We will work extreemly hard at school for these few years that are remaining. It is my prayer that God will bless all the people who volunteer at this school and I thank everyone there in America who gives to Chikumbuso their support. I would like to tell you mama that God is very happy. My parents did not manage to send me to school but Chikumbuso managed. I did not know in my life that today I would be in grade 10. I thank God for this because he showed me his favour for I believe that through education I will be able to go out and have new careers offered to me. Thank you, we love you, Esnart
