A New Term Begins
What a summer it’s been. In June, our young musicians took to the stage at Cadogan Hall to celebrate thirteen years of Nucleo music-making, and the evening showed what music can do for young people. They performed with confidence, played together as one ensemble and were clearly proud of what they had achieved.
After the long summer break, lessons are underway again and there’s a real buzz across our sessions. Returning students are picking up where they left off, building on the skills and friendships they made last year. New faces are taking their very first steps with an instrument. For our tutors, and for all of us, it’s one of the most exciting times of the year: the moment when new journeys begin.
From Cadogan Hall to a Fresh Start
The applause from Cadogan Hall has barely faded, and already a new generation of musicians is joining us. So far this school year, we’ve welcomed 70 new students. For many of them, it’s the first time they’ve ever held an instrument. It’s also the start of something bigger. Learning music builds focus, resilience and self-belief, gives young people a place to belong and opens doors to opportunities they might never have imagined. We hope this is the beginning of a lifelong relationship with music for every one of them. Watch some of our young musicians show you what instrument they chose in the video below.
Thanks to You
Every lesson, every rehearsal and every first note is possible because of you. Your support is changing young lives through music, and we’re so grateful that you believe every young person deserves the chance to make music. We’ll keep you posted as the term unfolds.
