The second term came to an end at the end of July. It is the busiest term of the year, particularly because students have many opportunities to leave the school campus, participate in competitions and events, and interact with students from other schools.
Activities outside school can bring challenges. But Zakaria, one of our school bus drivers, says:
“I am proud to be a Koinonia driver. Our students behave well outside school. They listen to their teachers, arrive on time, dress neatly, care for their surroundings, and do not litter.”
We are proud to see our students put what they learn at Koinonia into practice wherever they go.
Kenya Music Festival: Koinonia won No. 1 in Piano duet
Our students did very well at this year’s Kenya Music Festival. Several advanced from the Naivasha Sub-County competition to the county and regional rounds. We are especially happy that our high school piano duet won first place in Kenya!
At Koinonia, all students from Kindergarten through High School take music classes. We thank our students and teachers for their hard work, and our Board members, friends, and staff for helping with travel and accommodation costs. We are proud of everyone who took part!
School Trips
Once a year, all Koinonia students go on educational field trips. This year, each age group visited different places:
The trips gave students a chance to learn outside the classroom. Some groups had a long journey, but everyone returned safely. We are thankful that all the students enjoyed their trips.
Football and Basketball Matches
Our Lower Primary students played in football matches for the first time this year. The matches were challenging, but the students are excited to practise and try again next year.
Our Senior School girls’ basketball team reached the Nakuru County Competition.
We are thankful for a safe and successful second term. Thank you for continuing to support Koinonia and our students!
