Our dear donors,
We are so close to our goal of saving 100 000 dogs thanks to you! Every single member of our team is so grateful for your support and help.
Every next day the stray dogs in Ukraine are more protected and taken care of. We are happy to realize how many people think about our tailed friends and are ready to help.
What we have already done:
You can find detailed statistics on our website by clicking this link https://animal-id.net/en/counting-animals.
We are happy to share good news from the municipality of Lviv. As a result of 5-year hard work with the municipality we can conclude that the problem of stray animals is solved. There are only 207 stray dogs that live on the streets. Mostly all of them are microchipped, vaccinated and live under the care of official volunteers. Municipality shelters achieved the highest adoption rate in Europe - 96% of stray dogs that got to the shelter are getting adopted during only 21 days after they were catched on the streets. We installed the solution of automation of the shelters work there (to watch a short video about it follow this link https://youtu.be/VupuU7xU_Js). Thanks to the support from Dogs Trust Worldwide Foundation we implement a free microchipping campaign for 5000 domestic dogs from Lviv now. Everyday 2-3 lost pets return home fast and safely thanks to massive identification with microchips and QR ID tags we provide there. And now we are happy to share the experience and solutions we developed with every city that works on solving the issue with stray animals all around the world.
Also in August we launched the mobile application Animal ID for responsible pet owners (https://animal-id.net/app/). If your pet is microchipped or identified with an QR ID tag you can register it in this app free or charge. In addition, we developed a special cashback system in the app, which allows the users from Ukraine to collect some refund from partners' pet products purchases and donate it to animal shelters after. We hope to scale this solution in other countries in the nearest future.
We are still working on the application in order to make the whole process of stray animal censuses easier. We will launch an update of the app in the beginning of October 2020.
When borders were closed due to a pandemic we’ve always been open for helping and protecting stray animals the same as home pets. Thanks everyone who is with us!
We appreciate your feedback, support and help!
