We're raising money to provide additional books and e-readers for the students at Chamwino Secondary School in Tanzania through Worldreader. Worldreader brings a free library of digital books to parents and caregivers via their mobile phones. This library enables children to continue learning from the safety of their homes while schools are disrupted.
53 percent of children in low- and middle-income countries cannot read and understand a simple story by the end of primary school. The Covid-19 pandemic has worsened educational inequalities worldwide.
As the leading digital reading specialist, Worldreader works with partners to address this crisis by bringing digital books to millions of children and youth.
Worldreader works with the Chamwino Secondary School to support vulnerable and underserved students with digital reading solutions that help improve learning outcomes, workforce readiness, and gender equity.
