Chamber Music Northwest's mission is to inspire audiences through concerts and events celebrating the richness and diversity of chamber music, performed by artists of the highest caliber, presenting our community with exceptional opportunities for enjoyment, education and reflection. We serve residents and visitors of all ages in the 5-county Portland metro area with concerts, education and outreach programs showcasing the world's outstanding chamber music artists.
Access to high quality arts experiences for all members of our community is an important equity issue for our region. Chamber Music Northwest is uniquely positioned to meet this need because chamber music can be performed for almost any audience in any environment. Our programming occurs year-round, spanning the traditional performing arts season and the summer, as well.
CMNW has made an unprecedented commitment to sharing exceptional chamber music with our community: young and old, schools, music education programs, underserved populations and thd community at large. CMNW offers more than 100 events annually, serving more than 30,000 people directly, plus 70,000 more through broadcasts. We present a 5-week Summer Festival, year-round concerts, education and outreach programs, radio broadcasts, and collaborations with other arts groups.
CMNW strives to make chamber music accessible to diverse audiences by addressing the geographic, economic and cultural barriers to participation. We will serve 5,000 young people per year with programs that offer them hands-on creative experiences. We will inspire 2,000 underserved audiences who would not otherwise have the means to hear music performed by world-renowned artists. Our music will touch the souls of 30,000 concertgoers and education programs make the music accessible to all.
