By MICHAEL BLESSING | Founder & Project Lead
Because of your continued generosity, our young readers are discovering the magic of seeing
themselves reflected in the pages of a book. This past quarter, we focused heavily on bringing
culturally relevant narratives into our reading sessions across local communities.
When children open stories featuring familiar settings, traditions, and names—like the recent
favorite read-aloud, "The Song of Gurara"—their eyes light up. Reading is transforming from a
mandatory school exercise into a vibrant celebration of our shared heritage and boundless
imagination. Your support allows us to curate and provide these specific, meaningful texts to
children who previously lacked access to them.
"I love reading about characters who live in places just like mine. It makes me feel like I can
be the hero in a story, too!" — Primary 4 Student
Building a Lifelong Love for Reading
Providing books is only the first step; creating an environment where reading is celebrated is where
the real impact happens. Our recent community reading sessions have been filled with interactive
storytelling, discussions, and a palpable excitement for literature.

Looking Ahead
As we continue to celebrate our young readers, we are preparing to introduce even more original,
culturally resonant manuscripts into our literacy drives. We want every child in our program to know
that their stories matter and their voices are important.
Thank you for championing these children. Your donations do more than buy books; they validate a
child's identity and open doors to a lifelong journey of learning and self-discovery.
