Three accomplishments from 2023!

Cazucá FC just wrapped up an incredible 2023. The team’s players played high level, competitive soccer year round, and consistently showed up to practices ready to put in the effort necessary to succeed on gameday. Here are some of Cazucá’s biggest achievements in 2023:

• Congratulations to Cazucá FC’s Girls Team!

This past November, in their debut season in the competition, Cazucá FC’s Girls Team were named champions of the Bogotá Soccer League (Liga de Fútbol de Bogotá) for the first time. We are incredibly proud of all of our girls, Coach Angie Ortega and her whole staff, and everyone working behind the scenes at Cazucá FC for the blood, sweat, and tears they put into the team last year! 

• Professional pedigree on display:

Cazucá had another major achievement on the field, with multiple students beginning their journeys towards professional soccer. Two Cazucá FC players were selected to join Millonarios FC’s U-20 team, a massive achievement. Additionally, another three players were selected to join Real Cundinamarca, a professional team in Colombia’s second division. All five players should be incredibly proud, not only of their achievements, but also the effort, passion, and perseverance required to earn them.

• Connections with the larger soccer industry:

Another achievement worth celebrating is the relationship that has bloomed with one of Colombia’s premier domestic sports channels. There were multiple instances of collaboration with this channel, notably events such as having some of the players meet Sergio Galván Rey, the Colombian professional league’s all time goal scorer. Other players were able to visit their studios and get an exclusive tour of the space. Finally, they came to us, co-hosting an event in Soacha with many Cazucá players present.
