Cazuca Futbol Club is the first professional football club in Altos de Cazuca, a community deeply affected by violence, exclusion, and lack of opportunity in Colombia. The club offers young people a real alternative to build a life project through sport, keeping them away from risks such as substance abuse, recruitment by illegal armed groups, teenage pregnancy, and other challenges present in their environment. Today, more than 70 young people-both girls and boys-are part of CFC.
Altos de Cazuca, located in the municipality of Soacha, has been historically impacted by poverty and violence. According to DANE, in 2023, 34% of the population lived in conditions of multidimensional poverty. These adverse conditions particularly affect children and youth, who, due to the lack of opportunities, often see their dreams frustrated and are exposed to high-risk situations as a means of survival.
Since 2006, Fundacion Tiempo de Juego has been using sport as a tool for social transformation. In 2017, Cazuca Futbol Club was founded as a concrete alternative for young people who see football as their life project. Through the club, they receive comprehensive training to become professional athletes and get the opportunity to compete in high-performance tournaments.
Cazuca Futbol Club doesn't just train athletes-it shapes leaders, role models, and young people committed to their communities. Thanks to this ongoing effort, the club's teams have achieved notable milestones. The club is also the birthplace of inspiring stories like that of David Osorio, who began as a participant in Tiempo de Juego's youth activities and now serves as the club's head coach, leading training processes and mentoring new generations.
