A World Cup, A World of Connection

Dear Friends of Casa Cuna La Paz,

This year, a soccer tournament became something far greater than a game: it became a window through which 50 children learned that the world, in all its vastness, is really just one big neighborhood.

Thanks to your generous and continuing support, Casa Cuna La Paz continues to provide a nurturing, stable environment for the girls and boys, ages 1 to 10, in our care. Our dedicated staff work tirelessly every day to ensure each child receives nutritious meals, a quality education, essential medical attention, and a safe, loving space to play, grow, and thrive. None of this would be possible without you, and we are deeply grateful for the difference your kindness makes in these children's lives.

This year, our staff found a wonderful way to turn a global celebration into a meaningful learning experience. With the World Cup capturing the attention of Mexico City, they used the excitement to teach the children about the world: exploring the participating countries on a map, learning their flags, capitals and cities, and discovering pieces of each nation's history and heritage. But beyond facts and figures, the real lesson was about connection: the children came to understand that no matter where people live, we all share common hopes, interests, love, and, more importantly, a desire for peace. It was a joyful way to help them see themselves as part of a much bigger, wonderfully diverse world.

We want to express our heartfelt thanks for your ongoing generosity. Every child deserves the chance to learn, dream, and grow in a safe and caring environment; opportunities that many take for granted, but that are only possible here because of donors like you. Your support doesn't just meet their immediate needs; it opens doors to a brighter future for these children, and for that, we are profoundly grateful.

On behalf of the girls and boys of Casa Cuna La Paz:  Muchas gracias!
