Provide Career Counseling for At-Risk Teenagers

Dear friends,

we are happy to share with you that in the last four months we have launched our program of career workshops for this school year. The program involves 4 schools and over 90 young people. The program includes sessions and discussions focused on current workplace challenges for young people. We look at future professions and the skills they need to acquire. Through various informal games and professional tests, students explore their career interests, desires and skills. They discover their strengths, develop their communication skills, presentations, teamwork.

For these four months we managed to organize 17 career workshops. In 8 of them the students met and talked to volunteers who told about their personal and professional experience. Nine of the career workshops were conducted by our career guidance trainer.

During this school year, the young people we work with accepted the challenge to participate in the organization of the workshops - to attend preliminary meetings with volunteers, to communicate, to prepare presentations and to organize online classrooms themselves. They are happy that they manage to cut themselves for their future.
