Thank you for investing in our youth!
We are in the 3rd week of our program and having a great time. Students have learned what a spark is and how it can help them create success in their life!
Spark: The activities which a student is passionate about! The ones that get them up in the morning and motivate them through the day!
When we started many of our kids had no idea what they were good at or even what they enjoyed! Now we have seen them making t-shirts, dancing, singing, and even talking about the relationship between activities that require agility (hula-hopping, yoga, tight rope-walking) and profession sports! Its very exciting to see them explore each others sparks.
We meet every Wednesday after school in the library to help students discover what their sparks are.
This month, we will have numerous professional speakers visit with the students and give them brief introductions to sparks that students may have never considered or even heard about.
Over the next 3 weeks, we will be exploring camp options for students and starting the enrollment process!
Other Program Updates
We are excited to announce that Jovial Futures is moving forward and will be offered at Jefferson High School next year! We look forward to our continuing partnership with College in Colorado and making sure that students in our program have the tools they need to build the successful futures they desire.
We are looking for mentors and profession speakers to inspire youth during our Wednesday programs. If you are in the Wheat Ridge/ Edgewater area and interested in mentoring a 7th or 8th grader please contact us!
