Thank you for donating to this campaign. CARE has built a strong presence in Myanmar over the last three decades by forging trusted relationships with local communities and partners. Despite periods of conflict and political transition, we have successfully delivered humanitarian assistance and development programs. Our in-country partner network enables us to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies such as the recent earthquake and aftershocks. For the current response, we are conducting a rapid assessment to ensure our efforts address the most urgent needs of survivors. We are also working with UN Women and UNFPA to evaluate the earthquake’s impact on women and girls, who are at heightened risk of violence and other threats in times of crisis.
