PROGRESS REPORTS MONTHS JUNE-SEPTEMBER 2021

By ANGELINA OKWEYA NANDWA | LEADER

Since last year when covid 19 stiked the world, we have been having it very rough because the number of teenage mother went up by 100% due to long school holidays, carfew , lock down and idleness.

Many girls where not able to report back to school this year due to either they are expectant or have delivered and nobody to stay around with their babies if they go back to school.

We are overwelmed by the number of young mothers wanting to join our program both in the urban and rural. Unfortunately we were forced to close down due to lack of funds as our target are from very remote and poor communities. This are the target whose parents/ gurdians can not afford to pay for services they depend on relief food.

As we prepare to start allover again next year 2022,the following are our biggest threat and challenges inneed of urgent assistance:

1.  Additional  beds and beadings/mosquito Nets for the girls and their babies.

2.Grls/ Babies cloths , shoes, sanitary towels and pampers.

3. Wardrobes/ curboards for their cloths and otjher items.

4. Expantion/Renovation  of the present dometory, Adult Class and other Life Skills Classes.

5. Additional toilets/bathrooms.

6. One more Matron/Medical Nurse and two more care givers.

7. One part-time Doctor on call.

8.Assorted life skills Equipment, Machinery and Materials eg Fabrics, Wool,Knitting/ Sawing and Crochetting Needles.Electrical knitting and Sawing Machines.

9. Toys and other playing kits for the day care.

10.One Commercial Size Washing /Drying Machine.(Laundry Services).

11. Fridge to Preserve Breast Milk..

12. One Commercial Size Generator (Emergency)

We will appreciate for any other kind/type of donation towards the success of the young mothers and their babies project either used or new we do not mind so long as they are in good working condition.
