Care and School Education of Street Children

Thanks to all our donors who supported and encouraged us to continue Care and School Education of Street Children Project in Pune city. Foundation has conducted following activities from August 2018 to October 2018 for these children :

August 2018

15^th August – Independence Day was celebrated. Students were informed about Independence Day, Struggle for independence and it’s importance.

19^th August – Health Check Up camp was conducted for a batch of 200 students.

26^th August – Raksha Bandhan was celebrated at various locations. Children were taught to make rakhis.

September 2018

3^rd September – Dahi handi festival was celebrated with children. Dahi Handi was broken by the children with all the fervor. A earthen pot containing curd is tied up to a rope at various heights and it’s hangs there to be broken. Participants make a human ladder standing on shoulder of others and thus reach the earthen pot and break it. The winning team gets the price attached along with this pot.

15^th September – Rotary Club had arranged eye check up, dental check up camp for 200 children. Group dance was arranged at the venue and children were taken to see decoration of Vaishno Devi.

17^th September – On the occasion of Ganesh Festival which is one of the major festivals of state of Maharashtra and lasts for 10 days, children were taught to make clay idols of Lord Ganesha.

October 2018

14^th October – Health Camp was arranged for 200 children at Dapodi, Pune in which along General Check UP Haemoglobin Check Up was also done.

30^th October – Spectacles were given to those children who had undergone eye checkp and were advised spectacles.
