Quarterly Progress Report Feb 2018 to Apr 2018
Thanks to all our donors who supported and encouraged us to continue to support 2000 street children from various places in Pune city. Out of 2000 children, 1500 are enrolled in various schools. Foundation has conducted following activities from February 2018 to April 2018 for these children :
We have got issued Aadhar card (Govt. of India) for 150 children in this period. This card is now prerequisite for all the important matters e.g. school admission, opening bank accounts etc. In total 1000 children have received their Aadhar cards.
We have got issued birth certificates for 21 children through court.
We celebrated Holi festival in the communities. It’s one of the major festivals of India.
March – April is a period of annual examination in schools. We helped these children in preparing for their final examinations. As these children had joined schools in later years than other children they are afraid of facing examinations and we had to take them to examination halls and wait till their paper was over.
We did health check up of all 2000 children on 25th March which included HB testing in our Destitute Rehabilitation Centre, Katraj, Pune, Maharashtra, India with no sponsorship.
As children have finished their annual exams and are on leave from April to appx. mid June we have started summer camp which includes imbibing good / moral values, arranging sports, art / craft, mehendi, rangoli, karate, lazim, making idols, making paper bags / baskets / pen stands / flowers.
