This project provides 3 NGOs run by Indian Buddhist women from ex-untouchable background with capacity building to improve their project management, professional and administration skills.
Direct beneficiaries are the project managers and staff members of three women NGOs in Maharashtra; some 135 women with mostly limited formal education. Indirect beneficiaries are all children and women participating in the social, health and educational projects run by the NGOs in the slums. With improved capabilities in project management and professional skills the NGOs will run the projects more efficiently and improve their help.
A detailed training needs assessment is the first step. Workshops in team development and communication skills follow. All staff will be trained according to their jobs in professional and administrative skill development and project management.
