Dear Supporters,
This Quarter the GVI Trust was able to continue to sponsor the salaries of GVI’s two Lao interns during the months of June and July after schools reopened after a brief lockdown. These two individuals have made incredible progress in their teaching, lesson planning and communication skills over the last quarter through their dedication to their program.
This quarter the GVI trust contributed directly towards UNSDG4: Quality education, increasing the number of qualified and trained teachers in Laos by providing the salary of two local interns, who are training in TEFL style English teaching, lesson planning and other skills development.
The GVI Trust has also contributed in working towards UNSDG5: Gender Equality, by providing the salary of our female NSP, Miss Chai. Who has started working as a paid teacher in a private bilingual (Lao and English) school in Luangprabang. We are incredibly proud of her progress and wish her all the best in the future!
Thank you for your continued contribution and commitment to the GVI Trust Program in Laos. We look forward to working together to continue to provide these opportunities in Laos in the next quarter, and hope all our stakeholders remain safe and healthy in these difficult times! Remember: Stay home. Stay safe!

Dear Supporters,
This Quarter the GVI Trust was able to continue to sponsor the salaries of GVI’s two Lao interns between the months of January-March. Unfortunately, due to the unforeseen circumstances of Covid-19 that forced GVI and all public and private schools to close until further notice, these salaries have been temporarily put on pause. However, basic needs support has been provided to our local interns on a needs basis.
We are currently working on plans on how we can get these two back to teach as soon as possible, and will continue to support them in their journey as long as we can. We want to keep in mind that we are all in this together, and let’s not leave anyone behind! Donations made to this fund will be used in the coming months to help support these inspiring individuals to continue working (wherever possible, and safe to do so).
The GVI Trust has also contributed in working towards UNSDG5: Gender Equality, by providing the salary of our female NSP, Miss Chai, who has spent several months building skills in English, teaching, French and presentation delivery. These are all incredibly marketable skills, and will hopefully help her to seek gainful employment in the future.
Thank you for your continued contribution and commitment to the GVI Trust Program in Laos. We look forward to working together to continue to provide these opportunities in Laos in the next quarter, and hope all our stakeholders remain safe and healthy in these difficult times! Remember: Stay home. Stay safe!

This quarter the GVI trust contributed directly towards UNSDG4: Quality education, increasing the number of qualified and trained teachers in Laos by providing the salary of two local interns, who are training in TEFL style English teaching, lesson planning and other skills development. Our interns both got the opportunity to deliver a presentation about Hmong New Year and their native culture to the volunteers of GVI. The presentation was well constructed and expertly delivered to an international audience.
The GVI Trust has also contributed in working towards UNSDG5: Gender Equality, by providing the salary of our female NSP, Miss Chai, who has spent several months building skills in English, teaching, computer competency, French and presentation delivery. Dear Supporters
This has been a very exciting quarter, as the first quarter for our Capacity building for local Teachers in Laos fund. We were able to raise 393 GBP towards the salary of a local Lao intern.
This quarter the GVI Trust in Luangprabang, Laos contributed to UN SDG #4, Quality Education, by providing the salary of a local intern, directly working towards the indicator: increasing number of qualified teachers. As this intern was a female, the Trust also contributed to UN SDG #5, Gender Equality, by increasing access to vocational training for a female student.
Thank you for your continued contribution and commitment to the GVI Trust Program in Laos. We look forward to working together to continue to provide these opportunities in Laos in the next quarter.
With Gratitude
