Summary

Many children in rural Cambodia are deprived of education. Kids drop out of school to help their families work in fields, keep the house, or sell vegetables in the market. Since 2006, we have worked with the rural community to create educational opportunities that transform lives. We are a high-impact, cost-effective education charity that helps students stay in school, graduate, attend college, and build sustainable careers. Join us in giving every student a fair chance.

Challenge

Rice farming communities in Cambodia face persistent challenges such as debt and subsistence incomes, limiting access to public schools, higher education, skills training, and stable employment. Low income public schools do not provide access to English, computer, or STEM education. Youth sports and creative arts programs don't exist. Schools and villages lack reliable electricity and proper sanitation. Classrooms are in poor condition and overcrowded, often with 60 students per class.

Solution

Education at all levels is the key to community development. We work with local leaders and communities to improve education by providing safe learning environments, afterschool programs, and higher education support. Since 2006, we have built 10 school buildings and 7 libraries; supported over 67 college students with all-expenses-paid scholarships; and enriched thousands of primary to high school students through afterschool English, science, computer, and soccer programs.

Long-Term Impact

We are creating pathways for education, scholarships, and job opportunities that build more self-sufficient communities. In 2006, most girls in the community dropped out of school by grade 6. Now, nearly every girl graduates high school and many pursue higher education. Educated individuals have career opportunities and stable incomes, contribute to the local economy, support their families, and become community leaders. This creates lasting social and economic development across generations.
