Global Giving Awarded Naming Rights of Kompong Speu Scorpions Volleyball Team

By CNVLD | CNVLD

Global Giving Awarded naming rights of Kompong Speu Scorpions Volleyball Team The CNVLD is proud to announce Global Giving as the new 2009 naming rights + logo of the Kompong Speu Scorpions in recognition of Global Giving’s international efforts to raise funds for the CNVLD.

The Kompong Speu Global Giving Scorpions, coached by Cambodian National Team athlete Pin Sarath are one of the strongest teams in the National Volleyball League, a position they enhanced by defeating three time finalists Siem Reap Globe Magazine Eagles in the 2008 National League to claim 3rd place.

Coach Pin Sarath, who was born with severe polio in one leg was one of the most important contributors to the Cambodian National Volleyball Team when they became #3 in the World after defeating Poland at the 2007 WOVD Cambodia Standing Volleyball World Cup. Sarath will take his place at the forefront of the team once again when they participate in the 2009 WOVD India World Cup where Cambodia aim to become #1 in the World. Earlier this year, the Kompong Speu Global Giving Scorpions gave an outstanding demonstration of their skill and athleticism when they defeated the Australian Defence Forces Team 6-0 at the Annual CNVLD Australian Defence Forces Friendship Tournament in Ream Province.

Global Giving have hosted the CNVLD as one of their highlight projects since the start of 2009 when the CNVLD passed the United States Due Diligence requirements for donations for non-profit organisations from the United States.

To donate to the CNVLD through the Global Giving programme, simply visit The Global Giving CNVLD Page and follow the instructions on how to donate an amount of your choice.
