Combining your loose change with others we help families win the war against breast cancer.
The high medical expenses related to breast cancer often causes a family with inadequate health coverage to make hard decisions in paying their utilities or buying food for the family or completing their treatment program. This creates undue stress which can contribute to an individual's inability to recover quickly and return to good health. We strive to help 25 families in 2010 maintain their utility services.
Through continued solicitation of donations from individuals and business, host a Dinner and Silent Auction and seek grants to raise $15000 for utility assistance to famiies in 2010.
These women will recover faster in their battle with breast cancer and reach the 5 year survival mark which will help reduce the mortality rate of women, particularly Afro-American women, in this area.
