Dear Donors,
We sincerely thank you for your support toward the C-Section: Emergency Blood for Women during Surgery project. Your contribution shows care for mothers facing life-threatening situations during childbirth. However, the donations received so far are not enough to begin the planned support, and more funding is needed.
Across many hospitals in Nigeria, women undergoing C-sections face serious risk due to lack of readily available blood. In emergency situations, families are often asked to provide donors, but matching blood is not always available in time.
This delay can lead to severe complications and preventable loss of life, especially when urgent transfusion is needed.
This project is designed to establish an emergency blood fund and storage support system to make safe blood available when it is needed most. It will cover collection, testing, storage, and transport so hospitals can respond quickly during surgery.
With the right support, more mothers can receive timely care and survive childbirth safely.
We are grateful for the support already received and remain hopeful that additional contributions will make it possible to begin this life-saving project.
