Report for the ongoing project on our globalgiving. Report attached below.
Spirit of Hope for Women Africa runs a community-driven initiative focused on providing menstrual hygiene
support to school-going girls in Uganda. The project was listed on GlobalGiving with the goal of reaching
girls in underserved communities who lack access to basic sanitary products — a barrier that directly
causes school absenteeism and dropout, limiting the educational and economic future of young women.
Funding Situation
The GlobalGiving campaign raised $50 USD in donor contributions. Unfortunately, GlobalGiving did not
disburse these funds to the organization, which significantly constrained the scope of activities that could
be carried out under this initiative. Despite this financial barrier, the Spirit of Hope for Women Africa team
remained deeply committed to the cause and mobilized alternative resources to ensure that something
meaningful was still delivered to the girls in need.
Note: The $50 raised on GlobalGiving was not disbursed to the organization. All activities were
carried out using internally mobilized resources. We look forward to receiving proper funding
support so we can expand this work significantly.
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
