Buy four motorcycles for project officers

By Henry Okumu | Project Leader

Supporting Volunteer Coordination Across Communities
Our programs rely heavily on community volunteers who help identify vulnerable families, organize local activities, and support project implementation. These volunteers serve as important partners in creating sustainable change within rural communities.
However, coordinating volunteers across multiple villages can be challenging when field officers lack reliable transportation. Distance and poor road conditions often limit opportunities for regular meetings, training sessions, and supervision visits.
The acquisition of four motorcycles will greatly improve volunteer coordination efforts. Field officers will be able to travel more frequently to volunteer locations, provide mentorship, and ensure activities are implemented effectively.
Regular engagement with volunteers strengthens motivation, improves communication, and promotes accountability. It also provides opportunities to share lessons learned and address challenges before they affect project outcomes.
Volunteers have expressed enthusiasm about the initiative, noting that increased support from field officers will enhance their ability to serve community members effectively. Stronger volunteer networks will ultimately benefit children, families, and community groups participating in our programs.
Your support is helping us build a stronger foundation for community-led development by improving the connections between field officers and local volunteers.
