This project will buy 4 motorcycles to field workers in rural Uganda to reach remote communities with education, health, and social support services. Poor road infrastructure limits access to vulnerable populations. This project equips frontline teams with reliable transport to deliver life-changing interventions efficiently and consistently to over 5000 people.
In rural Uganda, many communities are located far from schools, health centers, and support services. Poor road networks and lack of transportation make it difficult for field workers to reach those in need. Critical programs-such as girls' education support, health outreach, and child protection- are delayed or disrupted. Without reliable transport, vulnerable families remain underserved and isolated from essential services.
This project will purchase and deploy 4 durable motorcycles for trained field staff working in rural areas. Motorcycles are the most effective transport solution for rough terrain and long distances. They will enable staff to conduct school visits, deliver supplies, monitor programs, and respond quickly to community needs. Training on safe riding and maintenance will ensure sustainability and long-term use.
The project will provide 4 motorcycles to support outreach across multiple rural districts. This will enable field teams to reach over 5,000 beneficiaries annually. Expected outcomes include improved service delivery, increased school monitoring, faster response to community needs, and stronger program impact. Girls and vulnerable children will receive more consistent support and follow-up.
