Savita says "I have never had the confidence to leave my home, but now I do all pottery business activity on my own. I especially make different idols, toys for the festive season and do set up a booth at strategic locations to catch the attention of customers".
Savita one successful business women belong to Potter family. She got basic skills at mother place. Even after marriage she evolved into business of pottery with traditional business techniques she got help and proper training from Mann Deshi foundation and with this she expanded her business with help of first business loan of Rs. 20000 from Mann Deshi Bank. Now her business has reach turnover of RS.72000 per annum. In the various seminar organized by Mann Deshi she learn so many things like communication skills, time management, basic of business strategy, marketing, account credit and debit which is required for business success.
Savita acknowledges "Before I was doing the same business but I wasn't able to generate much income out of it. Now due to a better understanding of market and business practices, I can reduce my costs, so able to make more profit". Initially, she was earning Rs. 3,000 per months which has grown to Rs.6,000 per month. Savita saves Rs. 350 monthly and is thankful for giving her confidence and opportunity to live respectfully.
