Dear GlobalGiving Supporters,
‘I'm popular as the 'goat doctor' in my community’, says Shobha
The Mann Deshi Foundation has employed Ms Shobha for more than four years as a shelisakhi, or goat paravet. She provides primary care, vaccinations, and insemination for goats in roughly twenty to twenty-five settlements. Since starting to work as a shelisakhi, she has been making roughly Rs 15,000 a month. Her self-confidence has increased as a result, and she has gained the respect of her family and neighbors. "I'm popular as the 'goat doctor' in my community,” says Shobha, and continues, "I am happy to report that my artificial insemination on goats has a success rate of roughly 95%.”
Thank you so much to all Mann Deshi Foundations supporters!!!
