The visitor experience at the Blue Heron will provide a framework and starting point for conveying a broad conservation commitment and will increase students' desire to pursue careers in the science.
Hispanic immigrants are not well familiarized with Florida’s ecosystems. Our community relies on outdated and inaccurate information and on common myths to make decisions as to how to protect themselves and their families from environmental hazards, and/or how to take appropriate action to maintain, restore, or improve the environment. Hispanics call for access to a broad range of environmental information in a novel interventional bilingual approach.
The Bus will allow us to conduct effective bilingual presentations in community events & schools to encourage individuals to become environmentally and ethically aware in a challenging fun and enjoyable experience while being creative and resourceful
Every year, we will serve more than 30,000 children & adults in Miami-Dade, to raise awareness about environmental issues and to keep the public updated about the progress made in the field and to learn through a process of interaction and discovery.
