As the 2022 academic year comes to an end, children have more free time on their hands and the library is stepping up its programming. The community library is a place children can go to gather safely, select a book to read and expand their minds. In addition to the standard Saturday activities programming, on weekdays, children come to the library for classes that emphasize spelling and reading. Volunteers help to provide one on one learning opportunities for the children.
Besides improving the children's scholastic needs, the library has taken on the role of a safe haven and has started collections to provide shoes and other basic necessities to distribute to the neediest.
For just $25 a month, you can help us to expand the minds of Ugandan children. Please join us in giving children the opportunity to explore the world through reading.
