In 2023 the Mission in San Lucas Toliman provided services for over 27,000 people but the need for supportive services is ever-growing. Almost 50% of Guatemalans live on less than $5.50 per day. Your donations will help provide basic healthcare and access to Mission programs to build a healthy foundation for the 40,000+ community members.
Communities in San Lucas Toliman are in need of basic supportive services. There is a lack of structurally safe housing, clean water and access to water, food security, and access to healthcare. It is estimated that 49% of Guatemalans live on less than $5.50 per day and 47% percent of Guatemalan children experience malnutrition.
Funding the Friends of San Lucas provides financial support to the Mission in San Lucas Toliman. The Mission is Guatemalan-led and allows local leaders to implement direct services to community members through their 7 program areas.
