Building Futures Through English and STEM in India

We are sincerely grateful for the continued generosity and commitment of our project supporters. Thanks to your support, our English education program in India continues to grow in both reach and impact. This year, we have taken a deliberate approach to strengthen students’ foundational English skills, ensuring they are well-prepared to progress into more advanced levels of learning.

During this period, our primary focus has been on building core competencies in English, including phonics, sentence structure, and fundamental grammar. By prioritizing these essential skills, we are laying the groundwork for long-term academic success and confidence in communication.

In Mumbai, students have successfully completed the Beginner English curriculum and are now transitioning into Intermediate-level coursework. Throughout the program, they have developed a strong grasp of English phonics, improved their understanding of sentence formation, and demonstrated the ability to apply basic grammar rules such as subject-verb agreement. Just as importantly, we have observed a noticeable increase in their confidence, as students are now more willing to participate, read aloud, and express their thoughts in English.

In Kolkata, students are nearing the completion of their first Intermediate English course and are preparing for their assessments as they move on to Intermediate 2. At this stage, students have been working with more advanced grammatical structures in spoken English while continuing to expand their vocabulary and learn commonly used conversational expressions. Their progress reflects both their dedication and their growing ability to communicate more naturally and effectively.

Across both locations, students are demonstrating strong commitment and enthusiasm for learning. Many are working diligently to improve their skills, with particularly notable progress in reading comprehension, vocabulary development, and fluency and pronunciation. These gains are critical in helping students build confidence and access greater educational opportunities.

This progress would not be possible without your generous support. Because of you, these students are not only learning English. They are gaining the confidence and skills needed to pursue brighter futures.
