As we close out the year, we are proud to share meaningful progress from GIve Chances’ Joyful Learning initiative in India. Building on our original vision to expand access to high-quality English and STEM education for underserved students, this program has continued to grow in both reach and impact across multiple regions, including Kolkata, New Delhi, Nagaland, and Mumbai.
Throughout the year, the program has remained grounded in its hybrid instructional model, combining live virtual instruction with localized, community-based support. This structure has allowed us to deliver consistent, high-quality lessons while remaining responsive to regional needs and resource constraints.
A major milestone this year was the successful progression of our English curriculum. Students, having completed the Beginner lesson plans, are now moving on to Intermediate and eventually Advanced English lessons. In response to this efficient progress, our organization has invested significantly in Intermediate and Advanced English curriculum development, and now have over 30 ready-to-teach lessons at higher language proficiency levels. Additionally, Give Chances is preparing a complete implementation of the STEM curriculum, as our educators and program developers are working hard to finalize the STEM curriculum for our students in India.
Student engagement has been a consistent highlight of the program this year. Over the summer months alone, Give Chances successfully conducted 10 weekly online English lessons, maintaining strong attendance and enthusiastic participation. Despite the hybrid virtual format, students are actively engaged through interactive tools like bingo games, quizzes, videos, and group activities, allowing them to practice language skills in real time while building confidence and collaboration skills.
As we move into the new year, we are encouraged by the momentum built through this initiative. The Joyful Learning program in India is fulfilling its core mission: breaking educational barriers and empowering students with skills that open pathways to higher education, employment, and long-term economic mobility. With continued support, Give Chances looks forward to deepening instruction, expanding our STEM offerings through a full-fledged curriculum implementation, and reaching even more students across underserved communities in India.
Thank you for being part of our journey. Your generosity and belief in education as a catalyst for change continue to make a lasting impact.
