Dear Friends,
Pro Eco Azuero would like to thank you for your generous support for our crowdfunding campaign: Building climate resilient communities in Azuero. With your help we were able to reach our funding goal for this campaign and offer several regenerative agriculture classes to more than 25 microproducers in different communities in Azuero. We established 17 tree nurseries, conducted seed collection tours, offer organic pest control and fertilizers workshops and signed contracts with micro producers for them to produce 60,000 saplings this year. All this efforts are part of our strategic reforestation project of an 80 km corridor. This area follows the Oria River basin, crosses 8 counties and 3 districts. We believe that reforesting this corridor together, with an already active community, will empower a sense of ownership and change. We have seen the profound effect on local communities, from children to elders when working to enhance their ecosystem.
Pro Eco Azuero is unique in its ability to understand the interconnectedness of our ecosystem and work with every part of it for a better shared future. The combination of reforestation, conservation, community development, and education allow for the creation of new methods that weave our forests, communities and wildlife together.
Thank's to our donors we are able to achieve our main goal of creating a sustainable "green movement" in the region.
Please stay in touch and help us keep building climate resilient communities in Azuero.
warm regards,
