Helping NGOs Grow Their Impact

By Matthew Aubry | Executive Director

Dear Friend,

Across The Bahamas, nonprofit, faith-based, and community organizations continue to make an extraordinary difference in the lives of others. Whether supporting youth, strengthening families, protecting the environment, or responding to community needs, these organizations are often the first to step forward and the last to leave. At ORG, we believe that when these organizations are better connected, equipped, and supported, their impact grows exponentially.

This quarter, we continued expanding Map4Good Bahamas, our national initiative to connect and strengthen the nonprofit sector. Through Map4Good on Da Road, we have continued reaching organizations where they are across the archipelago while preparing to launch the beta version of the Map4Good online platform in partnership with Novio Group. We also celebrated an exciting milestone by hosting the Map4Good Non-Profit Mixer, bringing together nonprofit, church, and faith-based leaders for an evening of networking, collaboration, and shared learning. The event created new partnerships, introduced organizations to the growing Map4Good network, and reinforced something we see every day—that some of the best ideas and collaborations begin simply by bringing passionate people together.

Beyond building connections, we continued investing in stronger organizations. ORG delivered governance training for the Bahamas Reef Environment Educational Foundation (BREEF), shared our experience in civic leadership through regional initiatives with the Inter-American Development Bank and Organization of American States, and launched the fourth round of our nonprofit capacity-building programme. This new seven-month cohort will provide practical training, mentoring, and peer learning to help organizations strengthen governance, leadership, communications, fundraising, and long-term sustainability.

Thank you for making this work possible. Your support is helping build a stronger, more connected nonprofit sector across The Bahamas. Every organization that becomes more effective, every new partnership that is formed, and every leader who gains the confidence and skills to grow their mission creates lasting benefits for communities throughout our country. Together, we are helping local changemakers create even greater impact.
