Dear COHI Friends and Family,
These past few weeks have been a dark time for US Border Policy. COHI is deeply disturbed by the news surrounding the inhumane living conditions of migrant children in US detention centers. This practice, along with the recent deaths due in part to the Remain in Mexico policy, are violations of human rights carried out by this administration against human beings who are merely excercising their right to seek asylum. At a time when we are feeling hopeless, COHI has some good news.
We are very proud to officially announce our new partnership with Sueños Sin Fronteras de Tejas (SSFTX), a Latinx, womxn run organization that provides direct relief to migrant families coming from the Texas-Mexico border. Together, COHI and SSFTX will be continuing to raise funds to supply respite centers along the border with essential supplies and high-quality medical care.
Join us in making sure that once these migrant families are released from detention, they receive the respect and dignity they deserve. Donate to sponsor a COHI medical visit today.
Love,
COHI
