The Role of Celebrations to Inculcate Learnings

Republic Day celebration

At Swarchna school we celebrate several occasions and design competitions to actively engage students in a fun learning process and accelerate participation to unleash their creativity.

India celebrated its 71st Republic Day on January 26, 2020. Our students came together joyously to celebrate the occasion with their fellows and teachers. Several activities were planned for the day. The school principal commenced the event and hoisted the national flag, the ceremony was enjoyed and applauded by students. To trigger tiny tot's imagination and enhance their creative skills, we indulged them in painting their own flags.

All students participated in a March past competition and showed a spirit of teamwork and coordination. A few games were also planned and thoroughly enjoyed by students. Sweets were distributed to celebrate the occasion.

Coming together with friends to celebrate such a historic day filled the school staff and students with joy and happiness. The school also celebrated India's freedom fighters and students were engaged through the storytelling of leaders like Mahatma Gandhi and Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

We also conducted a General Knowledge Quiz Competition in the month of January. Students from different houses came together to participate in the competition. The competition was organized amongst the primary (5th-8th standard) and secondary (9th-12th standard) section students separately. There were four houses that fought head to head to win the first prize. The enthusiasm and engagement of all the students were extraordinary.

By designing events and completion we inculcate important skills of leadership, communication, confidence, and courage. The school also provides an interactive space for students to nurture a close bond. It also helps us to break the monotony of classroom learning and keep their young minds involved in creative learning processes. It also helps students to establish and develop friendships with peers to the extent of being actively engaged in peers’ successes These activities also help in their overall development as a child.
