Dear GlobalGiving family,
We hope this update finds you well.
Every step forward fills us with gratitude and brings us closer to a dream we have carried in our hearts for a long time: completing the Nueva Casa de los Dones, a safe and loving home where 50 children can receive the protection, care, and opportunities they need to build a brighter future.
We are very happy to share that construction of the second phase is moving forward.
Although we did not receive new donations through GlobalGiving during this reporting period, we continued working to find new ways to advance the project. Thanks to the generosity of our partners and friends, we secured important in-kind donations, including bricks and tiling materials, which have allowed construction to continue.
With this support, we have made significant progress on the staircases, the enclosure of the second floor, and the installation of flooring throughout the second level. Seeing these spaces take shape is incredibly meaningful to us. What for so long existed in plans and dreams is becoming a reality, one step at a time.
Today, our Casa de los Dones program provides comprehensive care and protection to 25 children, many of whom have experienced extremely difficult circumstances, including abuse and serious violations of their rights. Beyond providing them with a safe place to live, we accompany them through education, psychosocial support, healthcare, nutrition, and opportunities that help them heal, strengthen their abilities, and begin to envision a different future.
Completing the Nueva Casa de los Dones will allow these 25 children to move into better and more appropriate facilities, designed to strengthen their care and development. Even more importantly, it will allow us to double our capacity and welcome 25 more children, reaching a total of 50 children who can receive the protection and comprehensive support they need.
For us, this is why every advancement in construction means so much more than a physical improvement. Every brick, every wall, every staircase, and every floor we complete brings us closer to creating new opportunities for children whose lives can be transformed when they are given a safe environment, the right support, and someone who believes in their future.
We are deeply grateful to every person and organization that has helped us reach this point. Through events, campaigns, individual contributions, and in-kind donations, we have been able to keep moving forward even when resources have been limited.
But we still have a long way to go, and we cannot do it alone.
We need the continued support of our GlobalGiving community to complete this second phase and make this dream possible. Every contribution, no matter its size, brings us closer to opening the doors of this new home—not only for the 25 children who are already part of our program, but also for 25 more children who are still waiting for an opportunity to be protected, supported, and empowered to build a better future.
The construction is moving forward. The dream is becoming more tangible every day. And we truly believe that, together, we can make it possible.
