The progress of the work in the lower floor of the building can be estimated at 87%. This floor houses the following fully constructed rooms:
-1 training hall
-1 toilet
-1 temporary dormitory
-1 temporary room for the supervising staff.
The lower floor also contains the following rooms which are being completed:
-2 kitchens
-1 laundry room
-1 guest room for visiting partners from abroad
On the ground floor; which is the higher floor, construction work had been temporarily interrupted due to financial needs and delays in delivery from manufacturers. It will resume with the arrival of our French partner SOLENCA who will bring funds collected through their efforts in France and the generous donation of RG Marbles in Douala. We are very thankful for SOLENCA’s continuous support and for RG & CO Marbre/Granite/Verre’ donation.
The plan is the installation all doors, windows and locks on the higher level to fully secure the building; as well as the layout of the work spaces according to the responsibility of each staff for optimal performance. The progress of this work will allow the spaces to be occupied as planned.
We will never stop thanking you for the efforts you have made to get us to this level. Being very proud of the level of your commitment, we still need you to help complete this house in order to accommodate the less privileged children of society and “give more children a normal childhood”.
