Natural disasters, particularly floods, constitute a growing threat in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The areas of Kalehe, Kindu, Bukavu, and Kinshasa regularly experience flooding caused by heavy rainfall, unplanned settlement expansion, deforestation, soil erosion, and the effects of climate change. Challenge

To address the identified problems, the project will implement the following solutions: Strengthening community awareness and education Conduct awareness campaigns on flood prevention and preparedness. Disseminate information through radio programs and community outreach activities. Promote safe behaviors before, during, and after floods.
