Garden of Hope Children's Ministry Uganda is working to free orphaned and vulnerable children from the cycle of poverty by providing a high-quality, free education, to children who have been orphaned due to HIV/AIDS in order to counteract pervasive hunger, poverty, and systemic deprivation. Your donations will help us build and operate a primary school for these children in the remote villages of Greater Busoga Sub-region, Uganda.
Garden of Hope Children's Ministry Uganda would educate these orphaned and vulnerable children in its primary school, but then have to sponsor them when they reach the secondary level. This seems to be very expensive and would limit the number of children we could educate. It was also more stressful for families who often rely on their older children to help with childcare, household chores, and farming. We also found children were suffering academically and socially once they left our support.
If our children can stay at home, they can help their elderly grandmothers with household chores and remain surrounded by the positive influence of their family and our team. Providing education directly to our children will be less expensive if we construct a permanent school, we will be able to educate more children and offer more services to them! The children will benefit from a school system specifically designed to meet their needs as HIV/AIDS orphans, which is crucial to their success.
The well-constructed primary school will help the local economy by providing more jobs. The children will have hope for their future and the skills to realize their dreams
