In October, architects visited the base and had a meeting with a construction company. The construction of sash, exterior and inside wall and a ceiling were managed. We also did the electrical work. And the water supply, drainage system and a modular bath were installed. The construction of the first floor proceeded.
In November, the painting by volunteers began. The steel-frame on the first floor, stairs, a banister, a kitchen and the inside of the lodging facilities were finished. After that, the installation of kitchen equipment and plumbing work went well. The electrical work also progressed. A total of 92 volunteers took part in this month.
In December, we installed wooden fittings, water use instrument and electrical fittings. The stove and air conditioner were also installed. We put a finishing on the painted part. A total of 73 volunteers who are from both inside and outside the prefecture including local people took part in this month. The paintings by these volunteers were completed; the east side of the lodging facilities, lounge, the first floor’s bathroom, linen room, office and the rest of the outside steel-flame were over. We are starting to make furniture now.
