Dear GlobalGiving community,

Your support at this pivotal moment represents far more than a financial contribution — it is a powerful expression of trust, solidarity, and shared responsibility for the 100 rescued dogs who depend on us every day. Knowing that we are not alone strengthens every step we take toward securing their future.

In recent months, our focus has shifted from vision to urgent action.

After receiving an eviction notice from the land we have rented for years, our priority became unmistakably clear: securing permanent stability for the 100 dogs currently under our care.

Since joining GlobalGiving, 11 donors have placed their confidence in our mission, helping us raise $2,835 toward the purchase of a new property. While this is an early step, it marks the beginning of an international community committed to building something lasting and secure.

During this period, we have:

* Conducted legal and technical review of the identified 1.5-hectare property
* Developed a phased infrastructure plan adapted for senior and disabled dogs
* Strengthened our long-term sustainability strategy to ensure financial viability
* Protected all funds raised as a dedicated reserve for land acquisition

Although construction has not yet begun — because securing the land is the essential first step — we are moving forward responsibly to ensure that when we build, we build on solid and permanent foundations.

Every day, we continue feeding, treating, and caring for 100 rescued dogs while facing the uncertainty of not owning the space they call home. This transition is not simply about infrastructure; it is about ensuring that lives already saved never return to instability.

We invite you to stand with us in this decisive moment. If you are able, please consider making another contribution or sharing our project with others who believe that rescued lives deserve permanent protection.

Together, we can transform temporary refuge into lasting safety.

With commitment and hope,

Fundación Colitas Felices
