Awareness Month

Thank you for donating to the School-Based Health Alliance. You can read about some of our recent and upcoming activities below.

It’s National School-Based Health Care Awareness Month!

February is National School-Based Health Care Awareness Month! Throughout the month, the School-Based Health Alliance and our partners have been collecting and sharing stories about how school-based health centers (SBHCs) are leading the way in providing preventative health care services for our nation’s children and adolescents. Visit our website to read stories from New Mexico and Connecticut, and stay tuned for more updates throughout the rest of the month!

School-Based Health Alliance Urges Congress to Pass SBHC Program Authorization Bill

Legislation to allow $50 million in operations funding for SBHCs (H.R. 2632) was introduced in Congress by Rep. Lois Capps (CA 24) and dozens of other Representatives. The School-Based Health Alliance is doing everything it can to urge Members of Congress to pass this bill. But we also need every SBHC provider and advocate across the country to contact their representatives in order to secure these funds for the only federal program exclusively dedicated to SBHCs. Click here NOW to engage your national elected officials in this vital campaign!

Save the Date for the 2014 National School-Based Health Care Convention

The 2014 National School-Based Health Care Convention will be held at the Westin Hotel in Seattle, WA, June 29 – July 2, 2014. The 2014 theme is School-Based Health Care: The Convergence of Population Health, Education, and Primary Care. The preliminary program and a link for registration will be posted on our website soon, so check back often!
